Document.Bot - EU/ Offline AI workspace - ChatGPT for entire document folders, PDF, Doc, Excel

Hi Product Hunt, I started building Document.Bot after working on Aviation.bot, an AI product that indexes aviation regulations for commercial aviation teams. At first, the problem looked like “make the regulations searchable.” But in practice, teams did not only want answers from official regulation libraries. They wanted to combine those sources with their own compliance manuals, Word documents, Excel registers, PDFs, notes, and project files. That changed the product direction. Document.Bot is the more general version of that workflow: an AI-native desktop workspace for people who work across many files and need answers they can verify. You connect a local folder, ask questions across PDFs, Word files, spreadsheets, and notes, inspect the cited sources, and draft reports, proposals, review notes, or document updates from the files you already have. I’m especially interested in workflows where trust matters: compliance, research, proposals, operations, audit, consulting, policy, and technical documentation. Because many European teams work with sensitive or regulated data, I’m also building Document.Bot around model choice. You can use ChatGPT or frontier APIs, but also EU-hosted providers or local/offline models depending on the workspace and risk level. The big idea is simple: instead of uploading files one by one into chat, make the folder itself the AI workspace.
