"The Documenso community rocks." – Timur, Co-Founder Documenso

Hey everyone!

We’re excited to introduce Documenso 2.0, and we now consider it fully enterprise-ready 🎉

That means we’ve added organizational support, released our improved V2 API, and completely refreshed the editor and settings pages to keep everything nice and tidy. Also, we are now fully SOC 2 compliant 🧐

And of course, while it’s enterprise-ready, it’s still here for everyone with our community version and free plan. We’ve shipped a lot this year, and we’d love for you to sign up and give it a try. If you want to chat about enterprise options, just let us know.

We can’t wait to hear your feedback!

Now that 2.0 is out we can move a lot faster and we can’t wait to hit the gas as we still have a lot planned for the rest of the year.

How does the new V2 API improve workflow compared to the old version?

 multiple ways:

  • Multi-Doc Envelopes are now supported

  • You can not hot-switch pdf in templates while using

  • When creating documents or templates via the API you can upload in 1 request (was 2 step before)

  • Folders API: Create and manage folders

congrats! We got our Soc2 earlier this year and it's not a ride in the park 🤪.

I've been using Documenso for years now, it's the best document signing software I've used, period. Much better UI than DocuSign, and a lot more straightforward pricing. Congratulations to the team on the launch!

Very cool, love the slicker editor! 🔥🔥🔥

Congrats on the launch! Let’s go enterprise

 way ahead of ya 😏

Definitely rooting for Documenso! Especially with PandaDoc having such a hostile business model.

I've been wanting to switch to Documenso, but wasn't able to with the feature set of "Documenso 1.X". Does Documenso 2.0 have a Document editor where I can add in variables to be filled from the API? Can I create and send documents with the API 2.0, without first adding the client to receive the document through the UI?

Eager to hear back! Again, rooting for you!

Oh, and lastly, can I use the API on the Teams plan or do I need the full Platform plan?

You can use the API on all plans 🚀 fair usage applies

 That's great! Love it.

almost! You can do all that as soon as we release placeholder, which will be shortly. You can follow along here:

Again, that will be fantastic. Once that is out, I'll be making the switch for sure!

Btw, I can't see "placeholder" in the link you shared there.

Happy early adopter, for years, I strongly recommand using Documenso for signing ! Congrats for this new launch Documenso, v2.0 is a great achievement !

Great product we already use here at Formbricks 💪 Congrats on the launch!! 🎉🎉

Congrats on the 2.0 launch! The new editor and API updates look solid.

Curious: How are teams usually embedding Documenso into their existing workflows? Is it through direct API calls or through prebuilt integrations?

we do have dedicated embedding SDKs:

You can combine that with the API e.g. creating the doc via API and then embedding to sign.

Or even embed the creation itself:

Nice, thanks, Timur. The embedding and API flow look really smooth.

I'm building Swytchcode (AI onboarding for APIs) and would love to explore showcasing Documenso’s API as an example integration.

Would love to connect on LinkedIn, if you are interested

I remember before dropbox bought hellosign. Man that was the days. Happy to see someone still innovating in this space tho! 🚀

we thought so too, that's the plan. and we will keep pushing 🚀

Boom. Didnt know you existed. Do now. Love an Open Source alternative to anything. Congrats on the launch.

we do, glad you know now 🫡🚀 As they say, we are just getting started!
