Hey Product Hunt! I built Dimify because I was tired of my Mac screen being way too bright at night, even at the lowest setting. The existing options didn't quite fit — Night Shift and f.lux only do color temperature, and Lunar/DisplayBuddy are $20+ DDC tools built for external monitor hardware control. I wanted something that does brightness AND color, works on any display (including AirPlay and Sidecar), and costs less than a latte. The core of Dimify uses gamma table manipulation (CGSetDisplayTransferByTable) to dim below what macOS normally allows and apply precise color adjustments per-display. It's all software-based, so it works with every screen your Mac can see — no DDC required. This is my first Mac app and I'm actively building it. Would love your honest feedback on what to add next.
