Why I built DevDrill

by

Hi Product Hunt,

I built DevDrill because I noticed something while learning and teaching programming: many developers spend a lot of time watching tutorials but much less time actively practicing.

DevDrill focuses on practice through structured coding drills. Instead of long lessons, the platform presents short questions where you select answers, review explanations, and gradually improve through repetition.

The current version includes:
• Practice drills across multiple programming languages
• A test mode with timed questions
• Competitive drills where users can challenge others
• Progress tracking to see improvement over time

My goal with DevDrill is to make consistent programming practice easier and more engaging for developers.

This is still an early version, so I would really appreciate feedback from the community. In particular:

• Which programming languages would you want more drills for?
• Do short coding drills help you learn better than long tutorials?
• What features would make this more useful for your workflow?

Thanks for taking a look and sharing your thoughts.
