DecoEcho - Smart flashcard app by first time developer

by

Hi Everyone,

Michael here, the solo, first-time iOS developer of DecoEcho.

I built DecoEcho for my daughter because I wanted a flashcard app that:

🔒 Doesn't track anything — no servers, no accounts, no analytics.

Your data lives only on your phone and your own iCloud.

🧠 Actually uses spaced repetition properly — got it / missed it,

smart re-scheduling, two-way study (recall the term from the

definition, or vice versa).

✨ Has a one-time price ($2.99 launch, no subscription nonsense)

that unlocks the magic features: AI card generation from pasted

notes, Wikipedia autofill, instant translation across 8 languages,

and text-to-speech with real native voices.

🎨 Looks like something a student might want to open at 11pm on a Tuesday

— Miami Art Deco aesthetic (where I'm from) with a sunset gradient and a

handcrafted icon.

Free version has everything you need to study: unlimited cards and

decks, spaced repetition, iCloud sync, deck sharing. Pro adds the

content-creation superpowers.

Happy to answer any questions about how it was built (I'm a UF Law

alum who'd never written a line of code before this), the design

choices, or the privacy architecture. Genuinely grateful for any

feedback. Thanks for reading.
