Can we spark discovery and action without a ton of algorithmic matching?

That s the one of the bets we re making with Dayyo.

We re launching Dayyo, a city guide / daily itinerary builder and one of the big objectives that we have is to be able to inspire people to go out into their cities and experience things they might never otherwise do. So, instead of hyper-personalized feeds, we ve created a living database of local recommendations, many sourced from other local businesses, plus live events, and all are (almost) randomly served up.

One of the things that inspired us to make Dayyo is that the beauty of a city isn t just about finding what you already like. It s stumbling into something you didn t know you would.

Dayyo - Daily city guide with favs from local businesses & events

Unlike traditional travel guides that recycle the same year-round tourist spots, Dayyo curates what’s happening today, highlighting local cafés, events, shops, activities, and can’t-miss sights recommended by the people who know them best. With Dayyo’s simple, neighborhood-first design, users won’t wade through endless lists. Each search delivers sets of two handpicked, locally sourced recommendations, helping both residents and visitors spend less time scrolling and more time exploring.
