How many apps does it take to run your day? I'm trying to make it one.

Hey Product Hunt πŸ‘‹

I'm Aly, and for the past while I've been building Dawnlet, a day organizer for iPhone, iPad and Apple Watch. It's almost ready for the App Store, and I'd love for some of you to try it and tell me what's wrong with it first.

Why I built it

My day was spread across too many apps: a calendar, a todo app, a habit tracker, a budgeting app, a journal, a notes file of books I wanted to read… None of them knew about each other, so I never got a real picture of a day, a week, or a month. Dawnlet puts all of that in one place and lets you see a single day module by module.

What's inside

  • Agenda: a week/month grid plus a breakdown of any single day (events, habits, todos, time, money, meals, journal, all in one scroll)

  • Todos & events, including recurring ones, plus reading from Apple Calendar and Reminders

  • Habits with week strips and streaks

  • Finance: log income and expenses by category, with budgets and recurring transactions

  • Time tracking with a live timer you can pause, switch, or backdate

  • Journal (bold/italic, mood, full-text search), gratitudes and meals

  • Bucket lists for places, books and movies, including multi-day trips and "currently reading"

  • People, so you remember who you shared a meal or a trip with

  • Reports: pick any date range and any modules, and get one document you can export as a PDF

  • Home Screen widgets, an iPad layout, and an Apple Watch app for habits and todos

  • Notifications are all generated on-device, with quiet hours and per-type controls

The pricing idea

One rule: the present is free, looking back is Plus. Capturing things is free in every module, and so is reading back every day you've recorded. Plus ($3.99/mo or $34.99/yr, with a 14-day free trial) adds the layer that only exists once you've kept using it: month insights, reports, "on this day" in the journal, budgets, and recurrence.

Privacy

Sign in with Apple is the only sign-in. There are no ads and no trackers, and you can delete your account (and everything in it) from inside the app.

What I'd love to hear from you

1. What's the first thing you tried to do, and did it work?

2. Is there a module you'd never use, or one that's missing?

3. Does "the present is free, looking back is Plus" feel fair?

4. Anything that felt slow, confusing, or broken (screenshots very welcome)

I'll be reading and replying to every comment. Thanks for taking a look πŸŒ…
