The idea for CryptoBoard came from a simple observation: despite the massive adoption of crypto, it’s still surprisingly difficult to spend it on real-world goods and services peer-to-peer. Most existing solutions are either chaotic Telegram OTC chats or forum threads where you have zero protection. I wanted to build a marketplace that is truly Web3-native: 1. No emails or passwords — just connect your wallet and you're in. 2. Privacy-focused — no KYC, just direct P2P communication. 3. Trust-centric — I’ve introduced a "Manual Escrow" model specifically for digital goods. Digital assets (like source code or scripts) are notoriously hard to trade safely. A buyer can receive the file and then falsely claim it doesn't work to get a refund. With CryptoBoard’s manual escrow, the platform admin actually tests the product, records a screencast as proof for the buyer, and holds the files until the payment is confirmed on-chain. It’s a human-powered layer of trust for high-value deals. I also made a deliberate design choice not to allow user-uploaded images, using a clean icon system instead. This keeps the marketplace looking consistent and professional, rather than like a cluttered flea market. CryptoBoard is live and fully functional.
