I was tired of "Free" QR generators holding links hostage. So I build alternative.

Hey Product Hunt! 👋

Have you ever generated a "free" QR code, printed it on a menu or a flyer, only to find out 14 days later that the link is dead and they want $15/month to reactivate it?

I found this incredibly frustrating. So, as an indie dev, I decided to fix it by completely removing the server from the equation.

I built CreateMy-QR — a 100% client-side QR code generator powered by WebAssembly. Because the QR codes are generated entirely in your browser's memory, my server costs are practically zero. This unfair advantage allows me to offer the tool 100% free, forever, with zero signups and absolute privacy.

We also added support for 40+ dynamic use-cases (WiFi, vCard, WhatsApp, PayPal, etc.) and localized it into 30 languages.

We are launching tomorrow, but I wanted to give the community an early look. I would love to hear your thoughts:

  1. What is the most annoying thing you've experienced with existing QR code tools?

  2. Are there any specific QR formats you wish existed but usually can't find?

Any feedback on our UI/UX before the big launch would be highly appreciated! 🚀
