Hi everyone, Robert here. I built CraftCopy.
I've sold online myself, and the part that always got me
wasn't sourcing or shipping — it was the writing. I could
never land a title or a description I felt good about. I'd
sit there rewording the same sentence, guessing at keywords,
and eventually just publish something mediocre because it
was late and the thing needed to go live.
Turns out that's not a me problem. Every product means a
title, a description, and tags — and each platform wants them
differently. Etsy rewards a warm, searchable title and 13
tags. Amazon wants benefit-led copy. eBay wants item
specifics. So you write the same thing three or four times,
badly, at 11pm.
CraftCopy takes your product and returns a title,
description, and tags in about 15 seconds, formatted for
Etsy, Shopify, Amazon, or eBay.
One thing that changed along the way: the first version asked
you to type what your product was, then wrote copy about that
text. Backwards — you already have a photo, and the photo
holds the details that make copy specific. Rebuilding around
the image is what stopped the output sounding like every
other AI tool.
I also stopped trying to serve everyone. Competing with the
free native buttons on eBay and Amazon meant getting specific
about sellers who list across several platforms and actually
care how their copy reads.
