CORSPROXY - Your programmable proxy for the modern web.

by
Bypass CORS, scrape pages, rewrite headers/body, convert CSV|RSS →JSON, and transform responses—no backend changes. Trusted by companies, universities, and serving billions of requests daily. Built by a solo dev over 4 years. Still just getting started. And the best: Just prefix any URL with "corsproxy.io" and you are ready to go.

👋 Hey Product Hunt — maker here.

CORSPROXY turns 4 years old this week, so this felt like the right moment to finally launch it here.

I originally built this as a tiny side project to solve my own problem:
I kept rebuilding the same proxy logic in every project just to deal with CORS, scraping, and messy responses.

So I made it stupid simple:
👉 just prefix a URL — and it works.

I never marketed it.
Never launched it.
Never even planned to turn it into a product.

Yet over time:

  • Uniswap started using it to proxy crypto images

  • Universities began using it in Computer Science classes

  • It now handles 5+ billion requests per day

As usage grew, so did the needs — and CORSPROXY evolved into a developer proxy:

  • Bypass CORS

  • Scrape pages

  • Rewrite headers & body

  • Transform responses (CSV → JSON, etc.)

All without touching your backend.

This is my first real Product Hunt launch.

I’d love feedback, questions, or to learn how you’d use a proxy like this in your own projects 🙏

Thanks for supporting indie builders.
