Hey Product Hunt 👋 I'm Taj, solo founder of Contra. Why I built this: I noticed ChatGPT, Claude and every other AI assistant is trained to agree with you. Helpful, sure — but terrible for critical thinking. There's no tool that pushes you to actually defend your ideas. So I built one. Contra lets you pick any topic, takes the opposing side, and argues back hard. You have 6 turns to convince it. After the debate, you get a score /100 broken down into Logic, Rhetoric, Evidence and Originality — plus coaching on the arguments you missed. What's inside: 4 difficulty levels (Easy → Brutal) Custom debate topics (propose your own) 1v1 challenges with friends on the same topic Global + friends leaderboards Fully bilingual (FR/EN) + dark mode Built with React Native (Expo SDK 54) + Claude Sonnet streaming on Django/Postgres.
