🕰️ Years ago, pre-AI, I dedicated an entire semester of my design studies to coding an app that extracts color palettes from images. But my design ambition quickly outpaced my technical skills back then. The result was functional, but honestly? Far from perfect.

Fast forward to today: Empowered by Cursor, I decided to revisit the idea and rebuild it from scratch.

This time, the gap between my design vision and the technical reality is gone.

Cursor enabled me to build every feature I imagined and obsess over design details in the code just as much as I do in Figma.

The result is Colority. A micro-tool that doesn’t just treat extracted color palettes like data; it presents them – in a playful layout, infused with fluid motion.

  • Simply drag-and-drop an image to get your color palette

  • Easily switch formats (HEX, RGB, HSL, Pantone)

  • Enjoy playful, tactile micro-animations

  • Fully responsive, in light & dark mode

It’s completely free and ad-free. From a designer who’s obsessed with details, for designers who share the passion.

I’d love to hear what you think – what features should I add next?

Happy extracting 💜
