What was the hardest part of naming your business or product?

One of the things that led me to build CoinedBrand was realising how difficult naming becomes once you move beyond simply finding something that sounds good.

A name may need to communicate an idea, feel distinctive, be memorable, work internationally, have an appropriate domain available, and still be worth investigating from a trademark perspective.

I’m curious how other founders approached this.

What was the hardest part for you when naming something you built?

Was it generating ideas, agreeing on a direction, finding something distinctive, domain availability, trademark concerns — or something completely different?

I’d be interested to hear what actually caused the most difficulty.
