My first launch scored 0 points. I'm doing the second one on the 26th.

I launched Meshio here in March. It finished the day with 0 points and no comments from anyone outside my own account. That's the honest baseline.

I spent a while assuming the product was the problem. I don't think it was. I launched from an account with no followers, no karma, and no history of having talked to anyone on this site. I posted it and waited. Product Hunt distributes a launch through the maker's network and through the velocity of the first hours, and I had neither, so there was nothing to distribute through.

Codirity goes up on the 26th. This time I've been doing the unglamorous version for a few weeks: reading the day's actual launches, commenting somewhere in the 8-to-20 range where the maker is still reading their notifications, and writing in the forums in a different register than I use on my own page. No upvote asks, in either direction.

I genuinely don't know if it works. It might be a slower road to 0 points. I'll post the numbers here after the 26th either way.

For anyone who has launched twice: what actually changed between the first one and the second? I'm more interested in what didn't help than what did.
