ClipGG is a collection of 14 free browser-based tools I originally built for myself. After getting frustrated with "free" websites full of subscriptions, sign-up walls and unnecessary limits, I started creating my own alternatives. Today everything lives in one place—from word counting and subtitle tools to image compression, audio extraction and transcription. The goal is simple: open a tool, finish your task and get back to your work.

Hi everyone! 👋 I'm Oleksandr, the developer behind ClipGG. This project didn't start as a startup. It started because I was honestly tired of using "free" online tools that stopped being free the moment I actually needed them. Every week I found myself searching for a word counter, subtitle cleaner, image compressor, audio extractor or some other tiny utility. Most of them worked… until they asked me to create an account, upgrade to Premium or hit an arbitrary usage limit. Instead of bookmarking more websites, I started building my own tools. One tool became two. Then five. Eventually I had enough utilities that I was using every day, so I decided to put them together into a single website. Today ClipGG includes 14 browser-based tools for creators, writers, video editors and developers. My goal isn't to build another complicated SaaS platform. I simply want tools that open quickly, do one job well and stay out of the way. This is only the first public launch, and I already have a long list of ideas for new tools and improvements. I'd really appreciate any feedback—whether it's about the design, the user experience or ideas for the next tool I should build. Thanks for checking it out!

Genuinely curious — do the transcription and audio extraction tools run entirely in the browser with no uploads, or do files get sent to a server for processing?

Everything runs locally in your browser. Your files never leave your device, and nothing is uploaded to my servers.

The trade-off is that processing speed depends on your hardware. A modern desktop will usually be much faster than a phone, since the work is done by your own browser and CPU rather than a remote server.

I made that decision intentionally. I'd rather let the user's device do the work than ask people to upload private files. For me, privacy isn't a feature—it's one of the main reasons I built ClipGG this way.
