Would you use an app that locks your keyboard while you clean it?

Cleaning a Mac keyboard shouldn’t be this awkward.

Turn the Mac off, and the first key you wipe starts it up again. Use the lock screen, and you end up typing nonsense into the password field.

So I’m making CleanKeys. It locks the keyboard while you give it a proper clean, then unlocks with Touch ID when you’re done. There’s also a PIN fallback for Macs without Touch ID—or just in case.

I’m getting it ready to launch and I’m curious: is this a problem you’ve run into too?
