Hi Product Hunt! I built Clausery because document automation for law firms and HR teams is usually a cloud service ($80-400/month) that needs you to upload client data. Clausery is a static site instead. Give it an ordinary .docx with tags like {client_name} or {#has_deposit}...{/has_deposit}; it builds a questionnaire from the tag names (dates, money, yes/no sections, repeating rows) and assembles the finished .docx in your browser. Data stays in your browser's local storage, an end-to-end test checks the app makes no requests to other sites while you work, and it works offline. There are 87 free templates (NDAs, freelance contracts, HR letters, landlord documents) you can use without signing up. Limitations today: no e-signatures, no nested lists and no legacy .doc files.
