Chrome Web Store - The ultimate productivity toolkit for YouTube

by
YouTube Quick Speed is more than a speed controller—it's an all-in-one productivity toolkit for YouTube. Beyond unlocking playback speeds up to 16×, it combines A–B looping, timestamp notes, volume boost, Zen Mode, Picture-in-Picture, smart focus filters, custom speed presets, and playback automation into one lightweight extension. Everything runs locally with no tracking, no subscriptions, and no unnecessary permissions.

👋 Hi Product Hunt! I'm Bhargav, an independent developer from Canada. Like many developers and students, I spend hours on YouTube watching coding tutorials, lectures, podcasts, and tech talks. Over time, I realized I was constantly repeating the same small actions—changing playback speed, replaying sections, increasing volume, hiding distractions, and trying to stay focused. I looked for extensions that solved these problems, but most only did one thing well. I didn't want to install five or six different extensions, so I started building one for myself. That side project became YouTube Quick Speed. Today, it includes: ⚡ Playback speeds up to 16× 🔁 A–B Loop for repeating tutorials and practice sessions 🎯 Zen Mode & Focus Filters to reduce distractions 📝 Timestamp Notes with export 🔊 Volume Booster 📺 Picture-in-Picture ⌨️ Custom keyboard shortcuts & playback automation 🔒 100% local, privacy-first, and open source The extension is already helping 500+ users, and I'm excited to share it with the Product Hunt community. This is just the beginning. I have many more features planned, and I'd love to build them with your feedback. I'd love to know: • What's one YouTube feature you've always wished existed? • Which feature of YouTube Quick Speed would save you the most time? Thanks so much for checking it out and supporting indie makers! ❤️

Love that all the heavy lifting happens locally with zero tracking. The 16x speed plus A-B loop combo is such a thoughtful pairing for anyone grinding through lectures or long tutorials.

The A-B loop with notes feature is genuinely useful for picking out guitar solos in long lessons, and I barely notice it's running. Local-only with no permissions is a nice change of pace.
