Hey everyone
I’m a solo developer taking my first big step into the world of SaaS. I’ve just released Product Pinner, a simple Chrome extension that helps ecommerce store owners create Pinterest pins from their product pages in seconds.
The idea came from my girlfriend, who runs an online store and was spending hours every week manually pinning her products, copying text, uploading images, and rewriting descriptions just to get more visibility and SEO benefits on Pinterest. I thought: “Surely this can be automated…?” So I built something to help her, and now it’s become my first real product.
Here’s what Product Pinner does:
1 Open any product page on your store.
2 Click Extract Product Info.
3 The extension intelligently pulls the image, title, and link.
4 It uses AI to write a Pinterest-ready title and description.
5 You review, tweak if needed, and post directly to your board.
That’s it, no more copy-paste, no endless uploads, no wasted time.
I’ve included a Pro version that unlocks unlimited pins and priority updates, but honestly, I’m not sure if I’ve priced it right. As someone just starting out, it’s hard to know if I’ve under-valued my work or gone too high. So I’d really appreciate your thoughts on that too.
Building and launching something on my own has been equal parts exciting and terrifying. I’ve learned a lot, but it feels amazing to finally put something out there that helps real people.
I’d love your honest feedback, does it solve a real pain point? Is the Pro plan fair? What would make it more useful for you?
Thanks for taking the time to read, and for helping a first-time founder take a few brave steps into SaaS.
