Hey Product Hunt 👋 Daniel here, solo dev behind Chirpy. I built it because my Mac played the exact same sound for everything, my boss, a meme in #random, production going down. So I'd check every notification just to find out which ones mattered. Chirpy lets you give each one its own sound. A harp for your boss, a cha-ching when a sale lands, silence for the noise. You set a rule by app, channel, person, or keyword. The big thing in 3.0: it used to be Slack and Teams only. Now it works with any app that shows up in Notification Center, your browser, calendar, email, messaging apps, whatever pings you. It's native, runs in the menu bar, 100% local (nothing leaves your Mac), $19.99 one-time with a free trial. It's just me building and supporting it, so I'd genuinely love your feedback. What would make it more useful for how you work?

Love that you can preview sounds straight from the list before committing to a rule, such a small detail but it makes dialing in the right audio feel effortless instead of trial and error.

Thank you Gözde 🧡 means a lot

The per-rule volume control is a really thoughtful touch, so a loud work alert doesn't blast over a quiet DM ping. Glad it's all local too.

thank you 🧡 the volume thing came from me setting all my urgent alerts to 100% and then getting bodyslammed by a bot notification at 2am. never again. and yeah, local from day one, none of this ever leaves your mac.

The per-rule volume control is a really thoughtful touch, way more useful than a global mute. Love that it runs entirely local too, no setup dance or accounts to create before you can actually try the thing.

Love this idea, the per-app sound matching is exactly what my brain needs when I'm heads-down. One thing that would seal the deal for me: a "do not disturb" schedule or focus mode hook so rules can pause automatically during deep work hours or when I've enabled macOS Focus. Would also help if there was a quick mute toggle right in the menu bar.
