Why does your website fail in China and what can you do about it?
Hey Product Hunt! 👋
We're launching China Readiness Report today, a free (yes, free!) tool that scans your website and tells you in ~30 seconds exactly why it underperforms (or outright fails) in China.
We built this tool as a splinter product of our platform to help give better visibility to a market that often makes this incredibly challenging.
Companies often spend months planning China expansion, then discover their website loads in 20+ seconds there, or doesn't load at all. By the point they discover this, either they've already missed the window or are trying to reactively solve a problem they just became aware of after deployment.
Unlike other markets where web optimization include fighting for the milliseconds via minifying js, adding a CDN or changing your hosting server's location - the issues that cause a lot of website speed and functionality issues in China are less obvious. It's not just "you need a CDN." It's specific blocked resources, third-party scripts that hang, fonts that never resolve, and an evolving landscape... essentially, the kind of thing you'd never catch without actually testing from inside China.
Would love to hear...have you ever tried to reach Chinese users and hit a wall? What did you find?
