I love traveling in groups, and I used to dread the last night of every trip: me, a spreadsheet and a pile of receipts, writing formulas that only I could read. Splitting by dish was the worst part, and so was keeping track of who chipped in while we were still on the road. So I built the tool I wished I had. One shared ledger for the whole group, six ways to split (equally, by amount, by percentage, by shares, with a sponsor, or item by item), the fewest transfers needed to settle up with a pre-filled QR code, and a group fund for collecting contributions openly.
