I am a FIDE rated player with around 2000 ELO. I have been playing chess since I was 4 years old. My childhood and teenager years were full of nice memories I had while playing chess over the board. However online chess is missing that human connection. The main goal of ChessTV.com is to bring that social aspect of playing chess back to online chess.

Love the concept, the video call angle makes it feel way more human than another chess app. One thing that would really help during longer games is a built-in chat or quick emoji reactions for moments when you want to react without talking and not break the flow. Would also be cool to save a replay of the game with the video so you can rewatch the blunders later.

Thank you very much for your feedback. Quick emoji reactions is such a good idea. Adding it to my improvements list. Video replay of the game with both faces is a brilliant feature which is on my list for future. To be honest I am very excited about the replay functionality. At the moment doesn't store the video between two players, that is why video replay functionality is taking some time to bring to life.

the face to face camera setup is such a thoughtful touch, makes it feel like sitting across from someone at a real club instead of staring at a username. nice work bringing that warmth back to online chess.

Thank you so much for the feedback. That is exactly why I built ChessTV. I always felt something was missing when playing chess online compared to sitting across from someone at a club or with friends at a café. Really glad it resonates!
