Does your delivery pass? Spec-check any master before you send it
I'm Jiří, from RedPixl. I've spent years in DIT and post, and one thing never stopped stinging: a master gets bounced by a platform for something small and specific — a wrong colour tag, loudness 0.5 LU off, a frame rate that was "close enough." You usually find out after the file's been rejected and the clock's already ticking.
Checkpoint QC answers one question before you hit send: does this file actually meet the spec you were given?
Point it at a master and it reads the real file — codec, resolution, frame rate, chroma, bit depth, colour tags, timecode, audio layout, loudness — and checks every value against the delivery spec you picked. Each rule passes, fails, or is flagged for manual review. Nothing is guessed.
What's inside:
📚 223 delivery specs from 69 organisations across 24 countries — Netflix, Amazon, Apple TV, BBC, ITV, Sky, ZDF, ARTE, plus AS-11 / UK DPP, EBU R 128 and Theatrical DCP. Every rule cites the published document, its version, and the date it was verified.
🔊 Real loudness measurement (ITU-R BS.1770-4 / EBU R 128) taken from the actual audio, not read off metadata — plus black/freeze detection and DCP & IMF package checks.
🎧 Audio-only deliverables (radio, podcast masters, Atmos ADM, dubbing stems) are first-class citizens.
🧩 Build your own presets with the same rule engine — a house style or a one-off client spec.
📄 Export a branded PDF QC report — the thing you attach to the hand-off email.
Two principles I care about:
Honest, not guessy. Where a spec is genuinely ambiguous, the app says so instead of inventing a tolerance.
Private by design. Native, sandboxed macOS app — no account, no upload, no telemetry. Your media never leaves your machine; it makes zero network connections beyond the App Store itself.
It's free to try, properly — browse the whole catalog for free, and verify real files against two open standards (AS-11 UK DPP HD and EBU R 128) at no cost, so you can test it against your own master before paying a penny. Full Unlock is a one-time purchase; Spec Updates is an optional $9.99/yr.

I'd genuinely love your take:
If you deliver to platforms — what's the spec that's burned you the most?
Which broadcaster or streamer catalog should I add next?
Happy to get into how the engine reads files, how I source and verify each spec, or where it's headed. Thanks for taking a look 🙏
