CentryAI v1.0.4 โ catches YouTube memberships, price increases & tells you when you're overpaying ๐ก
Ever tapped "Join" on a favorite creator's channel? Those $4.99 memberships are subscriptions too โ and the easiest ones to forget you're paying.
What's new in v1.0.4, rolling out this week:
๐ฌ YouTube, done properly. Channel memberships (Linus Tech Tips, penguinz0, whoever you support) and YouTube Premium receipts are now caught straight from your Gmail โ labeled clearly so they never get confused with YouTube itself. Even memberships you joined years ago: YouTube emails you exactly once when you join, so CentryAI looks back 3 years for those. No bank linking, ever.

๐ Price increases, handled honestly. When YouTube announced a price change, CentryAI didn't just overwrite the price โ it scheduled it: "$16.99 โ $18.99 ยท Aug 12" right on the subscription. Your spending stays accurate until the new price actually kicks in.

๐ก It tells you when you're overpaying. See that orange tip below? Paying $18.99/mo for YouTube Premium through Apple, when the same plan is $13.99 on youtube.com โ that's $60/year back, spotted automatically from the price-change email itself.

๐งฎ Smarter totals. Free trials don't inflate your monthly spend until they actually convert, and cancelled subscriptions stop nagging you in reminders while staying in your history.
The iOS update is in App Store review now; Android follows right after.
If you've ever been surprised by a "your price is increasing" email you never read โ this one's for you.
Next up: longer inbox lookback (your most-requested from launch week) and multi-account email import.

I really like the overpaying suggestion. So many people subscribe through Apple without realizing there's a cheaper direct option. Saving users money automatically is a feature that actually matters.

@sansa_greyย This one came straight from a real inbox: a YouTube Premium price-increase email where the Apple-billed price jumped to $18.99 while the same plan was $13.99 on the web. That's $60/year for tapping "subscribe" in a different place. One guardrail we care about: the tip only appears when the email itself carries the numbers โ CentryAI never guesses prices, so every suggestion is something you can verify in the original email.
Buffup.AI
@yilmazemreย Thatโs actually a really thoughtful approach. I like that youโre not just making assumptions or showing generic savings alerts, but grounding the suggestion in the actual email data. The verification angle makes the feature feel much more trustworthy. Curious are you planning to expand this beyond subscription price differences into other types of hidden costs or renewal changes?

This keeps getting better with every update. Multi account email import sounds like it'll be a huge improvement too. Looking forward to that feature.
CentryAI
@adams_parkerย Appreciate that! Multi-account import is one of the most requested features since launch week, and it's high on the roadmap โ a lot of people split subscriptions across a personal and a work/old inbox. No date promise yet, but I'll announce it right here when it ships.

@yilmazemreย Great I am waiting for your annocuncment.
CentryAI
Hi@adams_parker, we have launched a new update (version 1.1.0). We added multi-account feature in CentryAI. You can check it?
The scheduled price increase feature is a nice touch. Most apps instantly replace the old price, but showing when it changes makes much more sense.
CentryAI
Thanks @santosh__kumar9ย ! That was exactly the reasoning โ your monthly total should reflect what you're actually paying today, not what you'll pay in two billing cycles. Instantly overwriting the price quietly inflates your spend before it's real. The scheduled increase also feeds the analytics chart, so you see the bump coming before it hits your card.

The fact that it works without connecting a bank account is honestly what caught my attention. Gmail receipts are enough for most subscriptions, and it feels much more privacy friendly.
CentryAI
@margret_rhymeย That's been the core bet from day one. Bank linking sees every transaction you make; Gmail receipts only reveal what companies already email you about. Access is read-only, emails are processed in memory and never stored on our servers โ the whole pipeline went through an independent CASA Tier 2 security assessment for exactly this reason. Glad it comes across!

@yilmazemreย Appreciate the detailed explanation. Processing emails in memory instead of storing them is a reassuring design choice, and the independent security assessment definitely adds credibility. Out of curiosity, how do you handle subscriptions that don't send consistent email receipts or use multiple billing providers?

The orange youre overpaying notification could end up being one of the best features in the app. People love saving money, especially when they don't have to search for it themselves.
CentryAI
@irsa_dohamย I think you're right โ it's the feature that gives money back instead of just showing where it goes. Right now the tips come from price-change emails (where cheaper billing options are usually mentioned but rarely read). We're expanding coverage carefully: every tip has to carry real, verifiable numbers, never estimates. "Free money you didn't have to search for" is the bar.
