Hey everyone!

I built Cardamom as a weekend project after college. The idea was pretty simple: I wanted a place to keep all my cards, IDs, certificates and important documents without having to rely on cloud services or create yet another account.

Cardamom is an offline-first digital wallet for Android. It includes:

  • Digital cards with interactive 3D front and back views

  • On-device OCR to extract card information

  • Barcode and QR code recognition

  • Multi-page document scanning and PDF export

  • Home-screen widgets for quick access

  • Encrypted local storage and password-protected backups

Privacy was one of the main things I wanted to get right. Your data stays on your device. No accounts, cloud storage or tracking.

The project is open source, and the V1 source code is available on GitHub. The Google Play Store release is coming soon.

One thing worth mentioning: I used AI during development. This was a weekend project, and I had fun building it. If you want to call it vibecoded, that's fine. I'd much rather hear feedback about the actual product, its functionality and what could be improved.

Would love to hear what you think!
