Capsu - Helping Chinese students study abroad with AI

by
Capsu is an AI study copilot built for Chinese students studying in English-speaking universities. With real-time lecture recording and AI-powered study support, Capsu helps students transform lectures, readings, PDFs, and course materials into structured notes, mind maps, quizzes, study guides, and exam review resources. Students spend less time organizing information and more time understanding concepts, participating in discussions, and preparing for exams.

Hey PH 👋 I’m part of the team behind Capsu. Before joining Capsu, I worked on growth for language learning and education products. One thing I kept seeing was that many international students weren’t struggling because they were “bad students” — they were overwhelmed by the classroom itself. Fast lectures. Unfamiliar accents. Seminar discussions that move too quickly. Finals where you suddenly realize you have hours of recordings but no clear idea what actually matters. A lot of students technically “attend” every class, but still leave feeling like they missed half of it. That’s one of the reasons we started building Capsu. We didn’t want to build just another AI note-taking app. We wanted to build something that helps students actually survive the full academic workflow: * understanding lectures * organizing scattered information * reviewing faster * and preparing for exams without drowning in notes and recordings Capsu turns lectures into structured study materials like summaries, mind maps, and review flows — so students spend less time trying to reconstruct what happened in class. We’re still early and still learning, so we’d genuinely love feedback from students, educators, researchers, or anyone dealing with information overload in learning 🙏
