Behind the scenes: Why custom photos are processed 100% locally

One of the features I am most proud of is the ability for kids to create custom reveal levels using their own photos (like family members or pets). You can actually try this out right away – every free user can import up to 3 custom photos completely for free! (Unlimited imports are part of the one-time premium unlock).

When building this, privacy was my absolute top priority. Many apps upload images to the cloud for processing, but I wanted to ensure a 100% safe environment. That’s why all custom photos in Calm Color Reveal are processed entirely on-device. The photos never leave your smartphone or tablet, and the app doesn't even need an internet connection to work.
