CadenceOne is live on the Mac App Store - PH launch Sept 22
Quick intro before the launch on September 22.
I work as an Engineering Manager in a ScaleUp, and because every 1-to-1 tool I tried treats the conversation as a document, I create CadenceOne.
In my opinion, a 1-1 is a conversation that continues over months, even years, with one person.
So the app gives you one thread per person: past meetings, still-open topics, the promises you owe, development goals, wins worth remembering.
Thirty seconds before the meeting, you open their page and you have the context.
The part people argue with: there is no recording and no transcription, on purpose.
A 1-to-1 is the one conversation of the week where someone can say "I'm thinking of leaving". A recorder in the room makes that sentence impossible to say. Same reason there's no account for your reports, no cloud, no dashboard for HR.
It's local, on your Mac, and it's your tool, not your company's.
It's already on the Mac App Store; the launch here is on September 22.
Question for the managers around: what actually breaks your 1-to-1s, remembering what was said, or following up on what you promised?
