When should your personal butler act without asking?
One decision we're working through with Butla is how much initiative a personal butler should take once it knows your preferences.
Imagine you've given it a standing instruction to arrange your usual ride to dinner, within a spending limit. If the price rises or your plans change, when should it stop and check with you?
The same question comes up with buying a birthday gift, following up on an email, or moving something in your calendar. What feels helpful in one situation can feel intrusive in another.
Our starting point is that the permission should belong to the specific task: what can happen, within which limits, and when approval is needed again. Knowing your preferences alone should not be treated as permission.
What's one thing you'd let your butler handle on its own, and one thing you'd always want it to ask about first?
