Buddy - Claude Code, Codex or OpenCode, using your Android phone

by•
Buddy is a chat bubble that floats over your apps. Ask it to do something ("add a Switch 2 to my Amazon cart", "reply to Sam that I'm late") and an AI agent reads the screen and taps through your apps for you. It runs inside the app, with no PC, no root and no API keys: your Claude or ChatGPT plan, or OpenCode's free models. Anything that sends, posts, pays or deletes waits for your OK. Free and open source.

Hi Product Hunt! I'm the maker of Buddy. I wanted Claude Code to do things on my phone, not just write code. So Buddy runs a small Linux inside the app, installs the agent there, and gives it phone tools: read the screen, tap, type, scroll, open apps. What you can do with it: • Pick Claude Code, Codex or OpenCode. Sign in with the plan you already pay for, or use OpenCode's free models with no account. • Ask in text or by voice, from a bubble over any app. • Watch it work: every step is in the chat, and you can stop it any time. Safety was the part I spent the most time on. Sending, posting, paying, deleting, adding to cart: Buddy itself asks you first on a card, whatever the model decides. One free model once went for "Buy now" instead of "Add to cart"; Buddy stopped it and asked. It's Apache 2.0 on GitHub, and on Google Play in closed testing. I'd love to hear what you'd ask it to do, and where it gets stuck.
