Breva 2.0 for Mac is here!
Hey Product Hunt,
I built Breva because I wanted a calmer way to reset during the workday without reaching for my phone or opening a full meditation app.
Breva is a small breathing companion for Mac. Pick a breathing technique, choose a session length, and follow a soft visual orb with optional sound and trackpad haptic feedback.
The unusual part is the haptics: on supported Mac trackpads, Breva can give you a gentle tactile pulse while you breathe. In 2.0, you can now tune that haptic BPM, so the rhythm feels calmer, slower, or more grounded depending on what you need.
What’s new in Breva 2.0:
- Adjustable haptic BPM
- Refined breathing sessions
- Cleaner light and dark mode experience
- Improved settings
- A calmer, more tactile session flow
- iPhone support added alongside the Mac app (still in progress)
Breva has no account, no tracking, and no complicated wellness platform around it. It is meant for short, realistic reset moments between work, study, writing, coding, or calls.
I’d love feedback on:
1. Does the trackpad haptic rhythm make breathing easier to follow?
2. Which breathing technique feels most useful during the workday?
3. Would you use this more from the Mac app, the menu bar, or iPhone?
Breva is available on the Mac App Store:

Thanks for checking it out.

I've been waiting for this. A native Mac experience matters for me, so I'm excited to see how Breva 2.0 fits my daily workflow.
@uthappa_robb tried plenty of Mac tools, and smooth performance usually decides whether I keep using them. I'm interested to see if Breva 2.0 feels noticeably faster in everyday use. Congratulations on the launch!
Trackpad haptics are an underused feature on Macs .It's nice to see something building around hardware that's already there instead of requiring another device.
the "no account, no tracking" line is what got me, most wellness apps in this space want you signed up and subscribed before you've even tried a single session. for question 3, I'd want this triggered from the menu bar for a 90 second reset between meetings rather than opening a full app window - did 2.0 make that quick-launch path any faster, or is it still app-first with menu bar as an afterthought?
@galdayan Hey, it is still app-first, but I'm going to think about your idea, thanks! :)
