Your product’s privacy model shouldn’t be hidden in the FAQ.

I realized I wasn't explaining one of Bookmash's most important decisions.

Bookmash works directly with your browser bookmarks instead of importing them into a separate library.

Your bookmarks stay in your browser, on your device. Bookmash doesn't store a separate copy of them.

I knew this was important technically, but after talking to potential users, I realized it's also a big part of whether people feel comfortable trying a bookmark manager.

So I added a new section to the landing page that explains it without talking about databases, storage, or implementation details.

I also wanted to make another behavior clearer: if you use different browsers or browser profiles, Bookmash simply shows the bookmarks from the one you're currently using.

I'm curious: when trying a tool that works with your browser data, how early do you expect it to explain what happens to that data?
