BondStats Market Mechanism Explorer - Explore the transmission machinery behind markets

by•
Financial tools are excellent at showing what moved. Market Mechanism Explorer is designed to investigate how the move can propagate. Navigate interconnected causes, mechanisms and effects across rates, yield curves, sovereign debt, funding, credit, market structure, relative value and cross-border finance.

Financial markets are usually organized for us by asset class, indicator or data series. But markets themselves don't respect those boundaries. A rates shock can become a duration problem. A duration problem can become a volatility event. Funding pressure can migrate into credit. Sovereign dynamics can reach currencies, collateral and balance sheets. I built Market Mechanism Explorer to make those transmission paths navigable. Instead of starting with another chart, you start with a mechanism. From there, the interface exposes: upstream causes → focused mechanism → downstream effects The first release contains 64 mechanisms and 143 mapped relationships across eight financial domains. There is also a Be the First research layer. Rather than pretending every relationship is equally understood, it highlights areas where further investigation may be useful. The larger idea is simple: Financial data tells us what happened. Financial mechanisms help explain how the system got there. I'd be interested to hear which transmission chains you think should be mapped next.
