Built a co-founder matching app for devs would love your feedback

by

Hey everyone 👋

So I've been building this thing called Bondr for a while now, and I finally feel ready to talk about it here.

The idea started from a frustration I know a lot of us have felt — you have a great idea, you can build, but you don't know anyone to build with. LinkedIn feels too corporate, Twitter DMs feel random, and most "find a co-founder" platforms feel like job boards.

So I built Bondr. It's basically a swipe-to-match experience for developers and designers looking for co-founders or build partners. The vibe is closer to Hinge than AngelList — you browse bento-style profile cards, see someone's stack, their roles, what they're working on, and if it clicks, you like them. If they like you back, you can talk.

A few things I'm genuinely proud of:

- The bento profile cards look really good — skills, availability, a short video intro, all in one place

- You can verify with a college or company email to get a verified badge (kept fake profiles out right away)

- Availability status so you know upfront if someone is heads-down or actually open to connecting

- Custom profile links so you can share your Bondr profile anywhere

It's built with React 19, TypeScript, Supabase, and Tailwind — fully running as a static SPA.

Chat and curated weekly picks are coming soon, but the core matching flow is live and working.

Honestly just want to hear from people who've been in this situation — how did you find your co-founder or collaborator? And what would make a tool like this actually useful for you?

Would really appreciate any thoughts 🙏
