I realized finding leads wasn't the real problem. Knowing who to approach was.

For years, working with small businesses kept exposing me to the same problem.
There are already plenty of ways to find businesses.
You can search Google Maps.
You can browse directories.
You can buy databases.
You can collect hundreds — sometimes thousands — of potential leads.
But then the real work starts.
Which of these businesses is actually worth my time?
Why might they need what I sell?
Which of my services is relevant to them?
Is there any real evidence of an opportunity — or am I just guessing?
Who should I approach?
And perhaps most importantly:
What do I actually say without sending another generic cold email?
That question eventually became the starting point for Bodilum Prospect Finder.
Instead of beginning with:
“Give me 500 leads.”
I wanted the workflow to begin with:
“This is my business. This is what I sell. Now help me find businesses in this particular city, where there may be a real commercial fit.”
So the product currently works in three stages.
1. Tell it what you sell
You describe your business, your services and the outcomes you create for customers.
That matters because a “good prospect” means very little without understanding what the seller can actually do for that prospect.
2. Choose the market and city you want to pursue
Pick a type of business and a location.
Prospect Finder discovers local businesses that fit the search.
But I didn't want the product to stop at producing another list.
3. Analyse the opportunity
For an individual business, Prospect Finder reviews public business information and produces:
a prospect score and priority
a confidence level
the commercial reasons the business may be attractive
the evidence behind those conclusions
where your particular offer could create value
the strongest outreach angle
angles you should avoid
possible objections
likely decision-maker roles
a sample personalised email
a WhatsApp introduction and follow-up

The idea is pretty simple:
A smaller list of understood opportunities may be more valuable than a huge list of unexplained leads.
And this is actually part of a much bigger idea we're working toward.
Prospect Finder is one of a growing set of Bodilum Tools we're building around one mission:
Help the next billion businesses look credible, work smarter, and grow faster with AI.
Individual Bodilum Tools solve specific jobs.
Prospecting is one.
Branding, business documents, marketing, customer communication and other operational jobs are others.
And behind that, we're building BiznesXpo as the larger AI-powered business operating system that can eventually connect those tools around one persistent understanding of the business:
Who you are → what you sell → your brand → your customers → your knowledge → your documents → your workflows → your AI agents.
The long-term idea isn't a collection of disconnected AI tools.
It's an ecosystem where a small business describes itself once, and increasingly its software actually understands the business it is helping to run.
Prospect Finder is one small but very tangible piece of that vision.
I'm curious about one thing in particular:
If you sell services to businesses, which would you rather have?
A. 500 leads and their contact details
or
B. 20 businesses with a clear explanation of why each might need what you sell, what opportunity exists, who to approach and what to say
And if you chose B:
What evidence would an AI need to show you before you'd trust its recommendation enough to contact that prospect?
I'm building this now, so critical feedback is much more useful to me than polite encouragement.
Thanks in advance for your feedback!
