Hey,
I was inspired to find a technological solution to declining footfall in retail hospitality and heartbreaking trends of businesses closing at an exponential rate. post Covid, this trend has worsened.
My initial focus was on the Pub sector and improving the customer experience via digital wallets and gifting, but quickly understood the technology we were building would solve a whole host of other problems facing the battered industry, by cutting out the middle-man fee's which accumulated to crippling overheads at the expense of the merchant, including platforms for loyalty programs and Groupon deals.
The retail hospitality sector became an over-saturated marketplace for technology providers to further chip away at the already slim revenues of business owners.
I was determined to build technology solutions which reverse this trend and thus BLOCKHOSTS was born.
