Bito AI - A Swiss army knife in your IDE to 10x your dev life

byβ€’
Bito’s AI Assistant from your IDE or Chrome makes it easy to write code, understand syntax, write test cases, explain code, comment code, check security, and even explain high level concepts. It really works!

Love the idea that AI generation is like a golf caddy β€” making seasoned pros even more effective at their art. At this stage in my career, I'd settle for being a 1x developer, and so maybe Bito’s AI Assistant could help me become a 2x dev? πŸ˜‚
Amar Goel
@chrismessina ha ha, can you imagine how much faster innovation in the world would go if every dev could "just" 2x? :) CTO of a tech company told me today "this is game changing."
Amar Goel
thanks so much to @chrismessina for hunting us! Really appreciate his support.
Mukesh Agarwal
Thanks, @chrismessina, for hunting Bito AI. Myself, @amargoel , and @ananddas are super grateful. πŸ™πŸ™ I started my career as a Developer at Microsoft Outlook in 2001, where almost the entire code base was written in C/C++. As a developer, we wrote code to handle low-level memory, storage, and networking functions, AND real product functionality. 😫 Software development has evolved drastically over the last 20 years - new programming languages like Java and C## automate low-level tasks (e.g., memory management), and new frameworks such as React and Angular give ready-to-use building blocks 🧱. Open Source Software allowed small teams to build complex stuff by assembling core components such as web servers, databases, and messaging platforms. πŸš€ The languages, frameworks, and OSS made developers more productive. However, productivity itself became a moving target as the development and delivery of software products became more agile and grew in complexity with the web, mobile, and cloud. πŸ•ΈοΈπŸ“±β˜οΈ A side effect of this monumental progress in languages, frameworks, and OSS is that a massive amount of public knowledge got created around coding, testing, and deploying software - billions of lines of code and millions of documents, questions, and answers - by passionate developers around the world πŸ“š. However, accessing that knowledge to create new knowledge has become increasingly challenging. We believe that the next massive shift in software development will come through harnessing the existing knowledge through general-purpose AI (or Generative AI) 🧠. Millions of developers around the world can spend less time on mundane tasks, be their creative best, and solve even more complex problems as the complexity of software products will continue to grow as we make progress in fields such as climate, healthcare, autonomy, AR/VR, and decentralization. πŸ˜‚ At Bito, we are excited to be part of this shift πŸ˜„. We want to make generative AI accessible to every developer worldwide and integrate it into their daily work life. The launch of Bito AI Assistance as extensions to popular IDEs like Visual Studio and JetBrain, and browsers like Chrome is the first step in that direction. You can use Bito UI to generate new code, learn new command syntax, generate test cases, find bugs, check for security, identify performance issues, and ask any technical questions. We believe that developers are driving the future of innovation. We want to help accelerate that, making developers be their creative best by taking the mundane task off their plates!! We are at a very early stage in this journey, a long way to go.πŸšΆπŸšΆβ€β™‚οΈπŸšΆβ€β™€οΈ Give Bito a spin, and share your feedback. Mukesh, Co-Founder & CPO, Bito

I have used browser extension. Tool is very helpful. I love the way tool gives information about any method irrespective of it's technology. I tried tool on Java and Scala language. Excited to use it in daily life.
Amar Goel
@raghwani_sohil thanks. keep the feedback coming.
