What would make you actually use a “bid to rank” platform?

I’m building BidRanks and experimenting with a simple idea:

you bid on a concept → your bid affects its rank → other people can outbid you.

I’m curious what would make this actually useful/fun instead of just another leaderboard.

Would you care more about:

• discovering trending ideas

• competing for #1

• visibility

• something else?
