What would make an AI Bible companion genuinely useful instead of just another chatbot?
Hi everyone,
I've been building BibleAlong over the past few months, and I'm trying to solve a problem I personally ran into.
Most AI Bible apps I've tried can answer questions, but they often feel generic or disconnected from Scripture. I wanted something that actually helps me read the Bible, understand verses in context, and reflect on them without feeling like I'm chatting with a random AI.
So far BibleAlong includes:
- Read the Bible in multiple translations
- Ask questions about any verse
- Explain difficult passages with Scripture-based answers
- Private conversations for personal reflection and prayer
- No community pressure—just a quiet place to study
I'm still improving it every week, so I'd love honest feedback.
If you were using an AI Bible companion every day:
1. What's the one feature you would use the most?
2. What makes you distrust AI Bible apps?
3. Is there anything you've always wished Bible software could do?
I'd really appreciate any suggestions, even if they're critical. Thanks!
