Aurio - A noise cancelling mic for every app on your Mac

by•
Aurio adds a microphone called Aurio Microphone to your Mac. Pick it in Zoom, Meet, Teams, Discord, OBS or any app with a mic menu, and it hears your voice without the background noise. It runs on-device, needs no account, and $40 buys it for good.

Hi Product Hunt, I'm Siphesihle, and I make Aurio on my own. I regularly attend online meetings on Teams, and having noisy neighbours did not help. I tried macOS's Voice Isolation feature and that was not enough. I tried Krisp, but I found their subscription expensive. So I decided to build Aurio. Aurio adds an input device to your Mac called Aurio Microphone. Choose it once in whatever app you talk into, and that app gets your voice without the keyboard, the fan or the street behind it. Because it's a real microphone, it works everywhere you can pick one, including apps that macOS Voice Isolation doesn't reach, recorders and OBS. Everything runs on your Mac. Your audio is never uploaded, and there's no account to make. The model removes noise from what your mic actually recorded rather than re-synthesising your voice, so it can't invent words, and a strength slider blends back toward the untouched signal if you want a lighter touch. Before you trust it in a meeting, the built-in preview records a few seconds of your own voice and plays it back with and without Aurio. The trial is 14 days, with no card and no email. After that it's $40 and the app is yours to keep. The price includes a year of updates and renews yearly for more until you cancel; cancelling keeps the app. It needs macOS 13.3 or later on Apple silicon. What I'd most like to hear is how it sounds with your mic in your room, and anything that got in your way during setup. You can hear the before and after recordings on the homepage at aurio.dev.
