Chat-based AI creative suite for video content production. From raw footage and AI-generated scenes to finished videos in one AI workflow - just tell Async what you want.
I'm Arto, founder of Async (you might know us as Podcastle). Today we're launching Async Bumblebee, a chat-based video editor. Instead of learning a timeline, you describe the edit in plain language and Bumblebee does it.
Why we built it: We kept meeting solopreneurs, social media managers, and small teams who had great ideas and real footage, but lost hours in CapCut trimming silences, syncing captions, and nudging clips on a timeline. They wanted someone to just edit it for them.
How chat-based editing works: Upload your footage and tell Bumblebee what you want: "Cut the dead air and tighten this to 45 seconds." "Add bold captions and make the hook punchier." "Make a product ad from this clip."
It understands the edit, applies it, and you keep refining through chat until it's publish-ready.
🧠 Skills: an expert editor for every job Bumblebee comes with built-in skills, each one a specialized workflow for a specific type of video. Type / to browse them, or just describe what you want and Bumblebee picks the right skill automatically.
✂️ Edit your footage: rough cuts from raw footage, auto captions, highlight reels, text behind the subject, webcam overlays
✨ Generate what's missing: B-roll, AI avatar presenters, sound design
🎯 Make a specific video: product ads, product demos, explainers, video presentations, music videos, real estate listings
So you can go from raw footage to finished video in one conversation, mixing your real shots with generated B-roll, an avatar intro, or custom sound design where you need it.
What's different: 💬 Chat-based editing: the conversation is the editor, with a timeline there when you want fine control 🎬 Built around your real footage, with generation as part of the edit, not a replacement for it 🧩 Skills that know how each type of video should be made 🎨 Templates made by professional editors, not generic presets
🎁 For the PH community: launch offer, 20% off both annual and monthly PRO Subscriptions with credits for generations, use code PRODUCTHUNT
We'd love your honest feedback. Which skill should we build next? Drop your most painful editing task below and we'll tell you if Bumblebee can already do it, or add it to the list 🐝
Arto, building around real footage and using generation to fill the gaps feels right for the solopreneur crowd. Their expensive hour is usually trimming dead air and syncing captions, and that's exactly where most people give up on video. My painful task for the list: turning a long, rambling founder talk into one clear 60-second point while keeping the person's actual voice. That one needs editorial judgment, so I'd love to see how far skills can go there. Does the rough-cut skill try to find the strongest idea, or mostly tighten what's already there?
