Hi Product Hunt! 👋 We are excited to share the launch of Sweep Transfers for Astra!! We launched the Astra for iOS app a few months ago so you could easily and effectively manage your money – get your cash to the right place at the right time and save more for your goals, automatically. Included in our first product was basic transfer functionality between your accounts but it has always been our goal to create more smart and dynamic transfer features for you. Ones that adapt to your balances week-to-week and month-to-month. Enter Sweep Transfers! Sweep transfers automatically move funds over a given amount from one account to another on a recurring basis. By using “sweeps,” you can continue to move funds out of your source account but without overly affecting your balance. The transfer amount is calculated dynamically based on your current balance and runs on your desired schedule. Smart and flexible! This advanced banking feature is typically only available to high net worth individuals via private banking or brokerage accounts. Astra is the first to make sweep transfers directly available to consumers! Give Astra a try and let us know how you use sweeps! You can share feedback here, through Intercom in-app, or email me at or on Twitter. Currently bank transfer functionality is limited to Astra users with US-based bank accounts. If that isn’t you, you can subscribe here to follow our progress as we continue to develop our product and work on launching beyond the US. We look forward to serving you!
Massive congrats on the launch! 🙌
Thank you Anne-Laure!!

Astra keeps getting more powerful! And it's so easy to set up and use.

Pros:

I love sweep transfers! Before I had to manually look at all my accounts every month and move the extra to savings. Now Astra does it for me

Cons:

none

Thanks Dave! Happy we can save you that time by getting it on autopilot!! 🙌

Been a daily user for about a month now. Great way to view what is going on with all of my banks and investments in once place. Also easy way to set up savings accounts and goals for myself. Love this app.

Pros:

Easy to use and great place to see all banking apps together

Cons:

None at this time

Thanks for the kind words and for being an Astra user, Jon!!
congrats on the launch Gil! Been super excited to see you and team execute on getting new product features + updates out so quickly 😄
Thanks Charley!! We are definitely working hard to iterate on Astra so the app becomes more and more useful for you ASAP.
Congratulations on the launch Hope to see Astra grow soon in other markets to provide such instant easy features.
Thanks Gilbert! Working on it!! 👨‍💻

This is how I use sweep. I have my checking (where I get paid) and my savings (where I invest money regularly into Robinhood). Whenever the balance goes over in moves into my savings and I know on the 30th I can take the savings amount and transfer it into Robinhood to invest right away.

Pros:

I want to have my money managed for me without spending time looking at my account and making transfers. This is so painless.

Cons:

None so far!

Thanks for sharing your use case Eileen!! Right on point! You're actually chaining Actions manually, which we are working on automating. 🙌
Congrats to you and your team on launching Sweep Transfers! Very cool to see how you guys are leveraging even more automation to simply things
Thanks Suneel! More automation = simpler and more empowering banking experience. That's our take! 🤓
