We're launching AssessrLog on Sunday, October 11
Hey everyone, I'm Chris. Jeff and I have been building AssessrLog over the last few months, and on Sunday, October 11 we're launching it here for the first time.
A bit about how we got here. Jeff spent his career in security and compliance at Deloitte and LinkedIn, and held a Top Secret clearance. He kept seeing small defense suppliers do their CMMC self-assessment in a spreadsheet, and then a real person signing their name to it every year.
I've spent 20+ years building products, including two companies that went public. I designed and built every screen in AssessrLog myself. The last few weeks have been long nights getting the site, the billing, and every detail ready, and I'm honestly proud of where it landed.
We're not a big company with a launch team. It's the two of us, and this is our first time doing this. So if you've ever done a compliance self-assessment, or helped a client through one, we'd really love to hear what that was like for you. What was the hardest part?
We'll be here all day on the 11th, reading and replying to everything.
Chris

Chris captured the product side well, so I’ll add a little context on why we built it.
Across our experience in cybersecurity, GRC, cloud security, and regulated environments, one thing kept standing out: too much responsibility can end up sitting behind a process held together by spreadsheets, screenshots, folders, and institutional knowledge.
For smaller defense suppliers especially, the person signing the assessment is putting their name behind that work. That problem became the starting point for AssessrLog.
We intentionally didn’t build another broad GRC platform. We wanted to build something focused on making the assessment itself easier to run, easier to understand, and easier to defend when someone asks how a determination was made.
We’re proud of what the team has built and excited to finally put it in front of people who deal with this firsthand.
If you work with CMMC Level 1, either internally or with clients, we’d love to hear: what part of the self-assessment process causes the most friction today?
