Should ASOon tell you, in your own dashboard, when its advice didn't work?

by

ASOon gives solo iOS devs three App Store moves a week, drawn from their own keyword ranks. The part I keep going back and forth on is what happens afterwards.

When you mark a move done it becomes a dated experiment. Fourteen days later ASOon grades it against your real rank history: rank is the median of days 8 to 14 after the change, downloads are the 7 days after versus the 7 before. The windows are fixed before anyone knows the answer, and once a grade is written it is never re-graded, even when a later window would flatter it. If the data is too thin it says "insufficient" instead of guessing.

The consequence is that your second week with ASOon can open with: the thing we told you to do didn't work.

I can argue it both ways.

On one hand it is the only real reason to trust the advice. Of the ASO tools I compared in August 2026, none report their own hit rate — they recommend, and the recommendation is never revisited.

On the other hand it is a product that leads with its own failures, and people may leave before it ever earns credit for the wins.

Right now it is built the first way. A losing verdict is shown as plainly as a winning one, in the same place, with no softening language and nothing buried behind a click.

So, as someone who might actually use this: would seeing "this didn't work" make you trust the next recommendation more, or make you close the tab? And if you would want it softened, softened how, without it quietly turning into spin?
