Hey Product Hunt! 👋✨

I’m Derek, the maker of Archie. 🧭

It started with a moment every traveler knows 😅: it’s 2 pm 🕑 in a city you don’t know, it just started to rain 🌧️, and the place you picked is closed 😬. Most travel apps are great right up until you land. Then you’re on your own. 🏝️

Archie is an AI travel companion for the trip itself. 🤝 It isn’t here to replace your planning app (keep yours! 💛). It aims to fill the gaps once you arrive. 📲 It’s on the App Store and Google Play, and it’s free to download:

The app is built for the destination 📍. It’s what’s in your pocket once you land. Planning and inspiration live on the web 💻✨: browse ideas, share a place that caught your eye, and sketch the trip ahead of time at 🗺️, then the app takes over when you arrive. 🛬

Want a feel for it first? 👀 Tap through a made-up sample trip in two minutes, no download:

A few things to call out. Archie aims to be:

📥 Easy to start. Forward a hotel or flight confirmation and Archie builds the trip. Nothing to retype!

😎 Personal. Pick how the trip should feel, like Rest & Recharge 🧘, Adventure 🧗, Romance 💞 or Culture 🏛️, and Archie leans the plan that way instead of handing you a map of landmarks.

📍 Hyper local. A few places a day, close to where you’re standing, each with the reason it’s there. One good next thing, not a list of fifty.

⚡ Adaptive. If rain is coming 🌦️, it suggests a swap and says why. Nothing changes until you tap ✅, and it never books your stay or flight for you.

🔒 Ready offline. Your bookings, emergency numbers and key details stay on your phone when the signal drops. Lockbox also holds a sentence to show your driver, a few local phrases 🗣️ and your plug type 🔌, where Archie has them for the country.

👨‍👩‍👧‍👦 Great for groups. See who’s where, and set a meet-up when you split up. Sharing your location is your choice, and it stops by itself. 📌

🌍 Built for the world. Available in 10 languages and 27 countries.

This is an early release, so it will get some things wrong. If you hit a rough edge 🔧, I’m sorry, and I’d love to hear about it. 🙏

The feedback that would help most 💬:
1️⃣ Does “one good next thing” hold up on a real trip, or do you still want a list?
2️⃣ Did a pick feel truly local and like you, or generic?
3️⃣ What did you wish Archie had done at 2 pm? 🕑

I’m here to answer questions, hear your ideas, or just chat about travel. ☕ Thank you so much for taking a look!

💚
