I built API Vault out of a problem I kept running into while working on side projects. Every time I needed an API, I’d end up opening 10+ tabs — checking if it was free, if it required auth, if CORS worked, or if the API was even still alive. It was messy and time-consuming. So I decided to build a single place where developers can discover, search, filter, and compare 2,300+ free public APIs across 50+ categories without leaving the browser.
