Why does creating an AI explainer video still take so much work?

by

I've been thinking about this lately.

AI has made it much easier to generate content, but creating a polished explainer video still feels surprisingly fragmented.

A typical workflow often looks like this:

  • Write a script

  • Generate or record narration

  • Create illustrations or visuals

  • Add captions

  • Edit everything together

  • Design a thumbnail

  • Write the title and description

Even with AI, many of us still end up switching between multiple tools just to publish one video.

I'm curious how everyone here approaches this.

  • What tools are you using?

  • Which step takes the most time?

  • If you could automate one part of the workflow, what would it be?

We've been working on this problem with Ankon AI, aiming to turn prompts, documents, scripts, or images into complete whiteboard videos in a single workflow.
