Iβve had the βI have nothing to wearβ problem for years β so I finally built Allura
Hey Product Hunt! π
I'm Yashvi, a computer science student and developer building Allura β an AI styling companion for your real wardrobe.
This idea started in my second year of college. I kept running into the same problem: I had clothes, but somehow still didn't have an outfit. The more I thought about it, the more I realized how many decisions go into getting dressed β occasion, weather, people, activity, comfort, colours, accessories, and personal style.
I had the idea for years but didn't have the technical confidence to build it. Then my internship helped me learn full-stack development, and a fellowship hackathon gave me the push to finally turn the idea into an MVP.
Today, Allura can create a personal style profile, help you build your digital wardrobe, AI-tag your clothes, and generate three outfit suggestions based on your wardrobe and the context you're dressing for. You can also build around a specific anchor item.
The original vision is much bigger Can we make deciding what to wear easier?
I'm launching on August 29, and I'd genuinely love feedback from the Product Hunt community before then. Does this problem resonate with you? Would you actually use something like this? What would you change or build next?.
I'd love your honest thoughts.
